My father, Bernard Hunter Jameson Thoms (born in Edinburgh 1905, was the eldest son of Henry James MacThomas Thoms (1875-1940), of Dundee. Henry was the second son of Thomas Watt Thoms (1833 -1897), the second son (but in his issue heir) of Patrick Hunter Thoms of Aberlemno, 15th dejure Chief of Clan MacThomas (arms matriculated in the Public Register of all Arms and Bearings in Scotland (Vol 10, fol.90) on October 26, 1881.

There are numerous relatives living in Western Canada.
