Some new info that has been uncovered....

He was born Feb 28th 1912 in Scotland
died Nov 10th 1979 Dartmouth Nova Scotia

as a child he was raised for the most part by his aunt(unknown as to whose side of family).

he made his way to Canada via service in the Merchant Marines(so possibly came to Canada in early/mid '30s)

upon landing in Halifax he signed up for the Royal Canadian Air Force and ended up working/stationed for a time in Kirkland Lake.

as more is made known I will add it

John
