I, too, am from Roland and Ann Thornburgh, but have no connection with the Thomas and Alice Lane line. I do have Roland and Ann's line back to the 1300's in England and have pictures of Roland's anceestors Selisde and Hampsfield estates. I have visited both several times and met English descendants of this line. None of those I have met have connected the emigrant Roland of Maryland to the Thomas who m. Alice Lane. Roland was from the first son line and Thomas was from a younger son line according to the English records. I have found no proof that Ann's last name was Living. If anyone has a record of that, I would appreciate hearing from you.
Also I have the Thornburgh/Wells line fairly well documented and know descendants of that line. I live in Maryland where our first American Thornburghs were found. The 900 acred Roland owned has been divided into smaller tracts, but Roland Run and several other Roland names of places still exist. As you may know he left his estate, failing with his own descendants, to his Hampsfield ancestors in England. I have pictures of their English estates and of some of the English kin.
