Anne Thorowgood, daughter of Adam & Sarah Offley Thorowgood is recorded as the wife of Ensign Thomas Keeling and also as the wife of Job Chandler at the same time. There are good references for both men to be her husband. But I'd like to have good proof as to the correct husband. Adventurers of Purse and Persons, VA 1607-1624/5, pg 611: Anne had a sister Sarah who md Simon Overzee. The best proof I've seen for Anne's husband is "in a petition, 1 Dec 1658, Mrs. Yardley, (Anne & Sarah's mother) "widow of Colonel Francis Yardley," is called the mother-in-law of Job Chandler and Simon Overzee. (Maryland Provincial Court Record Bk S p 144) Can anyone offer proof to clear up this matter?
