Thank you. I have replied privately also. This was my g-g-grandfather and I have extensive research on him and descendants (12 children). In Rome he became an ice dealer, buying a pond that carried the family name. The last family home (next to Thron's pond, became a hospital. Later the city filled in the pond and built a park and skating area.
Many of the family are buried in the family plot in the Rome Cemetery. Here's the URL of a photo of their headstone.
