I'm afraid I don't have very much information for you, but I believe, despite a few minor discrepencies in our info, that this Mary Owens who married Frank E. Thying was the sister of my ggrandfather (Charles A. Owens). In case it is so, I'll be glad to help as much as I can. The info I have is Mary E. Owens married F. E. Thyng in Van Zandt Co., TX on 8 July 1883 (I have a copy of the marriage certificate). They had one son that I've found - C. G. Thyng born in March 1885. As C. G. was living with his Owens grandparents (Nelson and Mary Frances (Forgey) Owens) in Van Zandt Co., TX in 1900 I've assumed something must have happened to Mary and F(rank?) by that time, though I've no idea of what. F(rank?) was from Maine, according to the census I found C. G. on, but I've no date of birth for him, and nothing with which to make a guess. Like I said, I don't know much, but I hope this helps. If you are connected to this family, please contact me directly. I'd be interested in whatever info you might have on Frank's family, Frank and Mary's children, etc. Thanks very much for posting!
