Col. Paul Warfield TIBBETS, Jr., and The Enola Gay

I am researching the genealogy of Col. Paul Warfield TIBBETS, Jr., pilot of the "Enola Gay", the B29 that dropped the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, in 1945, thus ending World War II. When Col. TIBBETS retired he at attained the rank of Brig. General.
The farthest back I have traced his family tree is to his great grandparents, Joshua and Lucinda TIBBETS, pioneer settlers in Adams Co., IL.
