Hello Marge I do have some info on tibbets and zurfleuh. My Great Grandfather was Samuel Edward Tibbets born August 15, 1833 in Augusta,Me and He was married to my Great Grandmother Valista P Bean. there daughter was Lealla May Tibbets my grandmother. My mother was Hazel Belle Robertson and her cousin is Edna Zurfleuh I know her. I am not sure if she is still alive. She had a daughter Treva and a son Lyle Zurfleuh and I am not sure if I am spelling zurfleuh right. Louie could of been a brother of Ednas. I am pretty sure your father is from this family. My Grandmothers sisters and brothers were Howard. Florance ,Alice and Floyd Tibbets.Contact the Wasco County Court House in The Dalles and ask if they can get you information from a book there that has wasco county pioneers darn I can't remember the name of book but my sister has it and all the tibbets history in wasco county is in there. I think this will help you.
