Do you happen to know what the "E.A." Tibbetts stands for? On my great great grandfather's death certificate (Martin Van Buren Tibbetts b. 25 Nov. 1838 in MO) E.A. Tibbetts is listed as the informant. His death certificate also says that his father's name is Enman who was born in "Ioway." However, I've not been able to find any record of an Enman.
