Hello, Maybe I can help. A Roswell Goodspeed Tibbetts left Maine in the mid 1800's. His descendant, Marion [male] Tibbetts, contacted me some years ago about his roots. Marion had at one time owned a Dept. Store in Bakersfield. [His stationery carried a large pie-shaped building with the name "Tibbetts Dept. Store" engraved on the building. He died at an advanced age just a few years ago. He was residing in Salinas, CA at the time of death and we had visited him there once. I have much on him and his family and can provide his lineage.
