Carolyn, Found you while searching Lawrence Tibbets. Now that I have found other's doing the same, I become more confused than ever! My grandmother Amy's mother was Mertle Alice Tibbets, father Oliver Cromwell Tibbets, Born in Ohio. The whole family moved to Minn. just before Civil War. Later they all moved to Kossuth Co., Iowa. Grandmother said there were many members of this family. Anyway, Amy took me to Denver,Co. when I was very small to see Lawrence, making the trip from Texas. She told me Lawrence was her first cousin. Even as an adult it never dawned on me to ask her the connection. She saved everything she could get her hands on about Lawrence. I got lots of info from her about her mother's people and going back 1 generation. I know ther were two of Amy's uncles that went west, one never being heard of again. I have many pictures of the Tibbets, just got my computor 1 month ago, haven't learned how to e-mail pictures yet. But I intend to. Info shared by yourself would be great. Hope to hear from you.
