Trying to find parents/siblings and other info for Francis Robert Tibbetts (Tebbets ect.). He was born 08/14/1816 NH or possibly ME (near Augusta as one source claims). Went to Boston as a young man to learn stone cutting. He married Frances DeRobign DEANE, daughter of Benjamine DEANE and Lydia COLBURN, oral tradition says 03/04/1836 in Lowell, MA. Frances was born on 11/30/1815 in Athens, VT. Located on 1840 Census, Sparta, Livington Co., NY. Located on 1850 Census, Dansville, Steubens Co., NY with six children. Located on 1860 Census, Columbus, Columbia Co., WI with Frances (wife) having died there before the census was taken - 9 children listed. So far have not been able to find Francis TIBBETTS on other censuses. He did move to Westmoreland, Pottawatomie Co., KS in 1870 and died there in 02/13/1903.

Mary Eldesta Tibbetts b. 04/10/1850 m. James Hostutler
Frances Isabelle Tibbetts b. 09/04/185? m. Blaney
Adelia Lousia Tibbetts b. 06/02/1855 m. John Merritt
According to censuses, Francis was born VY or NH. A letter from one daughter says he was born NH. Obit says ME. no mention of any other family. Does anyone know where I might be able to obtain the marriage cert. or death cert.?
