Hi,
The "O" I believe stands for Overseer - since many overseers lived on the property and were responsible for documenting the age and value (re taxes) of those persons who were enslaved.You can check this with Marty Hiatt
If you note in the tithables - the Tibbs/Tebbs family held quite a few enslaved persons:
In the early tax records of Loudoun (1758 - 1786
Major Fouche (Fouch, Foush, Fouche, Foushin) Tebbs and or Tibbs
owned slaves: Bosun, Brandy, Dick, Jack, Violet, Harry, Butler, Charles, Daniel, Hanoots, Jere, Paioly, Peter, Rode, Betty, Billey.
