I'm Hezekiah Rorie and Louisa (pronounced Lou-I-sa)Ticer Rorie's G-G grandson. The information I have gathered indicates that "Rorie" was originally "Mackrorie" and the Rorie immigrants came to America from the Scotland lowlands (the border with England)in the 1600's, eventually settling in Virginia--not far from where George Washington's Mt. Vernon is located. Then our family moved to Anson County, White Store, North Carolina, where the old Rorie plantation still stands, although no longer in the Rorie family. The old Rorie cemetery is at White Store.
