Thank you for the detailed discussion of your Ticer ancestry. My interest in the Ticer line is limited to the descendants of Samuel Ticer (b. ca. 1805, VA) and Alice Revier (b. 1808, VA). This couple married in Lancaster County, VA in 1826. The only other information that I have on this Ticer line is that Alice (Revier) Ticer died in 1835 in Williamsport, Maury County, TN. Your Ticer line appears to have resided in Tipton County, TN at one point in time which is on the westward migration pattern for Maury County, TN. Several relatives of Alice (Revier) Ticer ended up in Tipton County, TN:
TN - Tipton County
Corbitt, John Alexander (r. 1870)
Corbitt, Sophronia (Mrs.) (r. 1880)
Easley, James Daniel (r. 1870 & 1880 & 1900)
Easley, Margaret (Pinkerton) (r. 1870)
McClerkin, Maggie (Easley) (r. 1900)
Pickard, John D. (r. 1850)
Your Ticer line appears to first originated in VA and then migrated to SC and later TN.My Ticer family moved from Lancaster County, VA directly to Maury County, TN. I do not know where they went from there.
Ticer is not a direct ancestor of mine, only a daughter of my ancestor married Samuel Ticer in 1826 in Lancaster County, VA. Do you know anything of Samuel Ticer (b. ca. 1805, VA) and his wife, Alice Revier (b. 1808, VA) ? Do you have any Ticer connections in Maury County, TN ?
