Newton Ticer, (b) 4/6/1861, Stone Cty, AR, (d) 3/24/1931, Shawnee, OK, was a County Commissioner for Pottawatomie County, OK, Superintendant of the County Farm, a State Legislator, Undersheriff of the Shawnee Police Department, Justice of the Peace and Baliff for the Superior Court. Newton was also my husband's gr-grandfather.

We have a photographic portrait taken of him while in the legislature and an excerpt from the "History of Pottawatomie County" about the Ticer family written by his daughter, Gussie Ticer Ward. I would be to email copies of these documents to anyone researching the Ticer family.
