Hi Laveta,

It has to be connected but I am stumped as to through who and how. SO you have a hunch that it is a Thomas Ticer, James F Ticer, William Andrew Ticer, John Newton Ticer--Son being Christopher Columbus (Is that right?), and Robert Clark Ticer.

SO Christopher Columbus had a sister named Martha Ticer, Jane Ticer, John Henderson Ticer, Allen C Ticer, Carlotta Louise Ticer. So Martha, Jane, and John Henderson lived in Arkansas is that right? So Allen may be the one who remained in TN is that right?

We are connected through John Ticer as John Newton was his son. My greeat-great-great grandfather was William A Ticer and John Newton was his brother. Lafayette (my great-great grandfather)was brother to John Henry Ticer. So it looks like the parents before Mary Elizabeth might be why there is the confusion as at or a previous marriage??
I am going to paste some here too:

Generation No. 1
1. John1 Ticer was born 1785 in Va. He married Mary Elizabeth Brown, daughter of Brown and Sarah. She was born 1813 in North carolina, and died in Tenn.

Could there have been two John's both from VA around the same time? Or is the dates a little off?? Could her name have been Mary Elizabeth Brown Fanning (1st marriage) Ticer (then married a Ticer. Let me know what you think...
