Texas Ticers

Hi. I've studied the information from the forum and talked to my dad and have come to the following conclusion. I am Bob Ticer, b childress, Texas 1943. My dad is William Marion Ticer, b Childress Texas in 1921. His dad was Claude Clarke Ticer, who had a brother John in Lubbock, Texas. Claude's dad was Samuel, who had brothers Lee and Bar, and also Quintas who had a son, Lowel, who moved to California. Samuel's dad was William Marion Ticer, b Alabama in 1825. William's dad was Thomas, bor 1800. Thomas's dad was Richard, b before 1780. There is also a Lousia Ticer b Alabama that could be related. I'm not sure where the Hugh's and Clark's fit in, but they connect with Louisa.
Richard, Thomas and William Marion all seem english. Ticer, tycer, tysor, tiser or anything close is not in the English dictionary. I suspect ticer derives from tycer, tyler, taylor. There were a lot of taylors. Could research the definiton of taylor in other languages to see if it is the origin.
