Hugh was my G,G,grandfather from there was James Monroe and then John Columbus. My father was Dan. My brother Danny has the last and youngest male along this family branch His name is Jesse Rubey named after our grandmother.
I have some history piror to Hugh. If you would like it please let me know. I still have the book that Mrs. T.C. Blackard(nee Letha Ova Ticer) wrote in 1972. I also remeember a family reunion sometime in the 60's in the Bay area of Calif. that had a huges gathering. I am very interested in our family histroy. I hope someone has kept up with the family histroy and maybe up dated Mrs. Blackard book.
I bet many of us would also like to know how the name Ticer was changed many times. It appears to me that most if not all the Ticer's are related in someway. The "World Book Of Ticer's" published by Halbert's Family Heritage puts little light on our true histroy. Thank you for your time, hope I hear from you. John C. Ticer. (FAMILY)
