Hello Richard
Sorry for two messages in such quick succession however having checked the 1851 and 1861 census I am sure that your mary Tickell is the sister of my Samuel Tickell in 1851 she was living with him and his family and their mother Nancy.
In 1861 she is living next door to her sister Maria Tickell and their mother nancy ( incorrectly listed as Mary )

A question does your family have the curly hair gene which defintely came from the Tickels?
