George and Saphronia Tiffany were on the 1840 census with one daughter.

1840 > OHIO > SUMMIT > STOW Series: M704 Roll: 428 Page: 359
George Tiffany 000001//001001 [1m 30-39, 1f 10-14, 1f 30-39]

It is possible that they had an additional daughter Anna C. Tiffany who was born in 1849. Saphronia died in 1849 and is buried Stow Cemetery, Stow Twp., Summit County, Ohio. I believe George went to California for the Gold Rush and was on the 1850 census in a mining camp:

1850 > CALIFORNIA > EL DORADO > DUTCH CRK Series: M432 Roll: 34 Page: 420
Geo Tiffany 47 miner 300 VT

George was back in Ohio by 1852 and married his second wife, Lucy Dunbar, Saphronia's sister, on January 20, 1853, Summit Co., Ohio.(Summit Co., Ohio, Marriage records, v. B (returns) 1849-1865 Marriage records, FHL US/CAN Film 900961).

I don't know where they were for the 1860 census.
