Thanks for the kind words! I should note that if you are going to be doing in-depth Tiffany work, Nelson Otis Tiffany's 1901 work is good to have around, although I should warn you of its serious flaws, the most obvious being its complete botch of the younger brothers Consider2 Tiffany (1675-1708) of Block Island, and Ephraim2 Tiffany (1677-1727) of Block Island and Lyme, and the latter's son Consider3 Tiffany (1703-1762) of Lyme. Beware of ANY work that gives Consider2's death date as 1762! For this branch a c1904 work by Ella Wright is far better. For Humphrey1 Tiffany's English origins, the NEW YORK GENEALOGICAL AND BIOGRAPHICAL RECORD vol. 63 (1932) is front and center.
Be aware also that N.O. Tiffany, a descendant of your ancestor James2, places him as the eldest son and treats him first, but documentary evidence (Ebenezer2's witnessing of a deed within a year of arrangements for James2's education) points actually to my ancestor Ebenezer2 (d. 1747/8) of Swansea and Barrington as the eldest. Ebenezer2 is spottily treated in both books, and we still don't know the identity of his lovely wife Elizabeth ---- (c1665-1749).
I'll keep my eyes out for Ezra! Perhaps he will be placed using Warwick deeds, probate or town records.
Good luck in all your research! Julie
