I have a Xerox copy of the book “Tiffanys of America. History and Genealogy” that was printed @ 1901. There was a Gideon Tiffany who was born on 19 September, 1737 and died in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada on UNKNOWN. He had a son Gideon Tiffany who was born in Keen, New Hampshire on 28 June, 1774 and died in Delaware, Canada on 29 August, 1854. The male Tiffanys born to this Gideon and his wife Hannah Tomlinson were (1) Frederick Tiffany; (2) Albert Tiffany; and (3) Dean Tiffany. According to the book Frederick had no sons. Albert had sons (1) Gideon Kilborn Tiffany; (2) John Albert Tiffany; and (3) Edward Maitland Tiffany (supposedly unmarried). Through someone else’s kindness I have the names of Gideon Kilborn Tiffany’s children. To Gideon and his first wife there was Gideon R. Tiffany, born @ 1876. To Gideon and his second wife there was (1) Walter Dickey Tiffany; (2) Albert Tiffany, born @ 1886 and died in Oakland, California on 8 November, 1938; (3) Robert Henry Tiffany, born in Eureka, South Dakota on 22 March, 1893 and died in Spokane, Washington @ 1954; (4) John Oliver Tiffany, born Eureka, South Dakota on 22 March, 1897 and died in Culdesac, Idaho @ 1968; and (5) Walter Tiffany. John Albert Tiffany had the following sons (all born in Delaware, Canada): (1) Albert Gideon Tiffany, born on 1 January, 1877; (2) John Maitland Tiffany, born on 15 April, 1880; (3) Hiram Lee Tiffany, born on 6 February, 1885; and (4) Clifford Edmund Tiffany, born on 11 September, 1891. Dean Tiffany was born @ 1816 and died on 18 October, 1888. Nothing more is known about him.
