Hi Peggy,
I just saw your post on the Tigert Genealogy Forum (I'm just now getting into this!).
My grandfather was James William (aka J.W./Willie) Tigert (1889-1975) of Daingerfield, TX, son of Louis (aka Lewis) Tigert (1854-1898) of Cookville, Titus County Texas. The ancestral branch that I have of Louis Tigert goes back about 10 more generations to Thomas McTaggart, born abt. 1565 in Ireland. I got a huge boost in my family tree by
merging the johnson-harper GEDCOM file with my own.
William Henry "Bud" Tigert is my Half 1st cousin 3 times removed, and according to the kinship chart I generated, you would be my Half 4th cousin!
Anyway, I have lots of Tigert links for other lines, but am sparse on your particular area. If you'd like to trade info, I'd be glad to oblige!
Thanks,
George Nelson
