Since my previous posting (almost one and a half years ago)I have not been able to add extra information. However, this has recently been found by a contact (thanks, M.T. !) :
Frederick Tilbey's parents very probably were John and Emily Tilby, living (in 1901) in Willesden, Middlesex. John (occupation 'Carman') was born in (approx.)1863, in Bucks. Emily in (approx.)1862, born in Bucks. Son Frederick must have been born in 1895 in Bucks.
Most probably the family came from COLNBROOK (now in Berkshire, situated just outside the M25 and just south of the A4 on the way towards Datchet.)
Hoping this will ring a bell ...
Aurel Sercu, Ypres, Belgium
