Emma Tilch and John Overfield are my husband's grandparents. He was born Johann Overfeld in Essen, Germany 10 oct 1864 and died 6 jul 1931 and is buried in Hurley, Wisconsin in an unmarked grave. Emma was born 1872, died 1939 and is buried in Albia, Iowa. Their children are Catherine 1892-1971 m. Thomas Gutcher (Children: Eleanor Lane b. 1913 and John 1914-1987) m2, Fernal Gutcher ( (Children: Fernal 1825-1967, William 1926-1990 and Thomas b. 1929), John 1894-1914 (mining accident), Frances b. 1902-1984 m. John Panian and Jacob b. 1903-1980 m. Grace Glasgow 1904-1968 (Children: Norlan b. 1927, David b. 1931 [my husband] and Robert 1937-1982. I would like to know exactly where Schlesien, Preussen, Germany is. Do you know more about her ancestors?
