My family is also descended from the Tilghman family, through Cecilia Harrold Armes (8/1/1875) and her mother Lucy Kerr (2/9/1851).
We have a copy of the Tilghman-Tillman Family 1225-1945 book. We cannot part with the book, but I can look up, copy any passages if you have an interest. Definitely need a good degree of detail, since its indexed by name, and there are a good many recurring names to confuse things further.
There are several errors in the book (which is normal considering the natural confusion in tracing stuff anyway across the years.) However, it does provide a good backbone for searches within the period listed, to a degree.
