Alice "Lethie" Tilley born 1878 died 1902(?)

I'm looking for information on my great grandmother Lethie or Alice Tilley. She was born in North Carolina in 1878 and married Joseph Pickle in 1895. They lived in Johnson County Tennessee in 1900. In 1910, my grandfather is in Damascus, Virginia with a new wife. Based on Census data, I think that Alice Tilley Pickel died around 1902. They had three children -- my grandfather David, and two girls Hattie and Bertha. After my grandfather remarried, there were two more girls, Ethyl and Francis.

I can't seem to find Alice Tilley Pickel (or Pickle) prior to the 1900 Census.

Would appreciate any information anyone has. Thanks.
