May be a different John Tilley. My great grandfather was John (Henry we think) Tilley but he lived in Searcy County, Ark. His wife was Sarah M. (Minerva we think) White (we think) Tilley. They had eight children:
James W. born about 1847; Louisa, born about 1850; Jasper born about 1851; Jess born about 1854; James H. born 11/25/1855, died 7/9/1953 buried in Marshall, Ark;Lewis W. born 12/19/1857, died 2/19/1924 in Vanoss, Ok; buried in Marshall, Ark;
Alfred Thomas (Alley or Allie) born 10/13/1859 (my grandfather); died 12/1/1944, buried in Ada, Ok; Martha, born 1862. John Henry was killed in the Civil War per our family history.
