In this corespondence there are a lot of coincendences of names.

Edmond Tilley b. ca 1779, NC d. after 1850 census in Al. Wife unknown.
Children:
1. Charlotte b. ca 1810 NC m. ca 1835 (?Gilmer Co., Ga) Thomas Montgomery Burnett
2. Martin b. ca 1813 NC living with his father in 1850 and with his nephew in 1860 with no wife or children.
3. Austin Powell b. 31 Mar 1817 NC, d. 27 Mar 1887 Faulkner Co., Ar m. 18 Aug 1844 Delila Keller
4. John James b. ca 1820 NC m. Mahala Keller
5. unknown female
6. Andrew J b. ca 1824 NC m. Henerietta ?
7. Mary b. ca 1829 NC m. ca 1848 (?Roane Co, Ga) Alfred Burton Keller

Austin is my line.
I and other Keller descendants believe, with no proof, that the father of these Kellers was Thomas Keller of Haversham Co. in 1840 census and that his wife was a Burton. Many of the Kellers carry the Burton Name. Edmond Tilley was in Lumpkin Co. in the 1820's then in Cherokee Co., Al in 1840 and 50.
There is a Lazarus Tilley in Raburn Co. but he is a son of different Edmond Tilley. At the same time that Edmond Tilley was in Lumpkin Co, there was a Phillip Keller. I can find no connection with him, whereas Thomas is a name that the Keller descendants use profusely.

Was Edmond's wife a Martin or a Powell?
Edmond was in Burke Co., NC in 1820 (I think this is the right Edmond) and so was an Austin Powell. I have not yet found their connection. It will probably be in a Powell will somewhere.

Lots of like names with your corespondence.
Peggy Tilley
