Edmund Tilly land to Noah/Manoah Wilson Brown by 1850

Looking for knowledgable Stokes County, NC Tilly researchers who may have info on Edmund Tilley's land. I'm still in early stages, but hope someone knows when Edmund Tilly died or left the Stokes County, NC area as I'm trying to determin how Noah or Manaoh Wilson Brown and wife Nancy Duggins (aka maybe Dwiggins) came by the land (heir group ??) - found no land deed entry yet. My Noah and Nancy married Snow Creek in 1847, living on land previously owned by Edmund Tilley in 1850 census, then sell the land in 1851. This 1851 Deed of Sale describes the land as previously owned by Edmund Tilley. Any help appreciated !
