I have attempted to get info on the Tilley Family before but was unsuccessful. So, I am trying again in case someone new comes on board. I am trying to determine why Guillaume Dionne became William Tilley. The family appears to have moved from St Francois near Fort Kent Maine to Benedicta Maine and Sherman Mills Maine area where Guillaume Dionne became William Tilley between 1862 and 1883 and married Modeste Levesque who became Maude Bishop. Also looking for date/place of marriage. I have been to Benedicta Maine church and researched the records there with no luck.
