Tilley Family Genealogy Forum

Hi Tara Tilley. well first to find your ancestors you have to do a little search yourself.no one know's for instance where is the family you are searching from ? Dates and counties of the state will be a great deal of help. have you looked for a death information for either of the two.? death book info from the couty seat , vital statistics office. also the State Archives of genealogy search will send you what you are looking for. did you go to the cemetary of your grand father and look there.? most cemetary's have records of death with owners of the plots and mabe a copy of the obits. location of graves and head stones have info too but not always correct but close enough. to look. ask for a copy of death information and birth information. these certificates have parents names and where they came from. just repeat that action till you run out of death info.don't forget to ask for death book info. when you run out of that go to the genealogy section in your area, which can be a library, historical society, and look at census tapes of that area and year. these tapes are for every ten years. ask for help to fast find it. by using an index to tell just where on the tape it is located. or you will find yuorself spending hours of time looking. well hope I have helped, mabe you should make a new post with dates and location. giving viewiers a a clue of who they might be. lots of luck Carl Tilley.
