I don't know much but I do know that a James Sr. and Jr. show up on the 1836&38 Wayne County, Tennessee tax records. Also that the Tilley's had lived there for a long time. There was also a Henry and Archibald Tilley on the records. Archibald is remembered as talked about by my husband's family. His ggrandfather was a Thomas Tilley and his grandfather was John Henry Tilley and they where from Wayne County, Tennessee raised in Lutts and Martin Mill and there are Tilley's buried in Lutts and Collinwood, Tn. As of yet I don't have a connection other than just the names and county ; looking for the right person to help with the connection in Wayne County because one thing I am sure of is that our Tilley's were from there.
