I have some of the info you request. William Henry Tilley was my great-great-grandfather. He was born in 1807 in Logan County Kentucky. His mother was Nancy Tilley. His father to date is lost to time, however the name was possibly DeMasques or DeMastous or possibly LeMasters. My Father, Dewey D. Tilley, 1898 to 1986 would only state that the line from William aka "Grancer" (meaning Grandsire) was French. He said the name had a De in front of it and a "true Tilley" was dark complected with black hair, as was my Father. I have a copy of the discharge for William Henry from the 3rd Ark. Cav. Co. K, a Federal unit based in Little Rock, Ark., and have visited his gravesite in Marshall, Ark. I have more info. of children and wives, (3). If interested contact me at my E mail address.
