Hello David, I really don't think that it will be that easy, but here goes as regards to the first Tilley/Tilly's from Va.Edmund and Henry to Surry/Wilks, Bennet&Lazarus to Stokes, John and William to Orange counties. but during the time after the revolution these counties were changed and more added, Also the many Tilley's moved around quite a bit in buying land every opertunity they got, You will be able to connect after a few short backtracking searches, I assume you have the death certificate and Birth Certificate of your father which will give information of birth,and parents, mail for the parents birth and death records of your father, this info will be kept on books back to 1880,with that information come back to me or other on the Genforum and we can get you back further, have a good one and good luck, Carl Tilley.
