I saw your other posting that contained a lot of information about the extended Tilley family. Thanks.
I am trying to find out what happened to John Henry Tilley, first husband of Sarah Minerva White. Our oral family history said he was killed in the Civil War, or more exactly, he went to war and never came back. Any info? He was not in the 1870 census.
I know Sarah's second husband was Tidings Thompson and they married sometime before 1880. I have found her in the 1860,1870 and 1880 census for Searcy County. I have also visited her grave in Marshall, Ark. She is my ggrandmother. We couldnt find anything on John Henry Tilley.
