I'm descended from Grancer through John Henry -> Alford T. -> Dewey Dege TILLEY. Sounds like we all have pretty much the same basic information. I am more interested in collecting any family stories, specifically regarding Grancer and his son John Henry's family. Does anyone know how John Henry died? Did anyone hear that John Henry served at Pea Ridge? Ever hear of "Aunt Sintha"? How about Grancer's racehorse, "Old Rattler"?
Please e-mail me if your family has preserved any old tales like these. Also - have any photographs been preserved of Grancer or John Henry, or others of John's generation?
