The article disputes research and family lineage. Folks researching genealogy know that it takes a little more than just getting names off the net. The computer is a wonderful tool for 'beginners'. Some of us have families with no records at all left to even begin a search. Looking towards cousins and posting messages gives clues to find accurate information. What does this 'must read' article have to do with the Tilley Forum anyway? There are lots of books even that dispute research and misquoted genealogy information - why such focus on the net? Anyone who does research on the net, knows that you have to verify and validate with official records. Unfortunately, there are some sites out there that have information that isnt worth reading and misquotes documented information. Genforum, is certainly not one of them. Thank you for your time.
