Hello,
I'm looking for the parents of Foster Tilley, who married Nancy Vernon and migrated from Stokes Co. N.C. to Jackson Co. Ohio in the 1810s.

John Tilley was a witness to Foster and Nancy's marriage. Is this his father? Nancy Vernon was the daughter of Jonathan Vernon and Mary Cox, both families apparently originating from the Caldwell (Presbyterian) Settlement at Cub Creek, Lunenberg Co. (now Charlotte), Va.

I wonder if the Tilleys came from there also?
