In 1811 Klaas registered the surname Tilsma--

Tilsma, Klaas Simons, Schraard
k. Symon 10, Oepke 8, Folkert 7, Janke 4, Rinske 2, Rommert
Mairie Witmarsum, fol. 61

Here is his death--

Overlijdensakte Wonseradeel (mairie Witmarsum), 1813
Aangiftedatum 27 januari 1813, blad nr. 3
Klaas Symons Tilsma, overleden 25 januari 1813, oud 37 jaar, gehuwd

So he was born about 1775 to Symon. I wouldn't be concerned about the spelling of Tilstra/Tilsma. A registrar would spell a name the way he pronounced it. Here are more children born to him after 1811, and now you know his wife's name--

Geboorteakte Wonseradeel
Aangiftedatum 26 maart 1811, akte nr. 16
Rommert, geboren 24 maart 1811
zoon van Klaas Symons en Antje Oepkes

Geboorteakte Wonseradeel (mairie Witmarsum)
Antje Tilsma, geboren 4 juli 1812 dochter van Klaas Symons Tilsma en Antje Oepkes

If this is Antje's death, I'm guessing that Antje's family was already using the name Tilstra, and when Klaas had to choose a surname in 1811, he used the name that his wife already had. The same thing happened in one of my branches.

Overlijdensakte Wonseradeel, 1839
Aangiftedatum 16 augustus 1839, blad nr. 31
Antje Oepkes Tilstra, overleden 16 augustus 1839, oud 57 jaar, weduwe

She was born about 1782 to Oepkes.

Now if those marriages before 1812 for Wonseradeel would just come on line. . .
