Looking for any info. on this person, served under General Harrison, (re: J.H. Battle, W.H. Perrin) also stated he was Capt. of Indiana Militia (re: Charles M. Franklin, "Indiana War of 1812 Soldiers Militia"), and member of Convention of indiana Territory, born 1785, died 1855, Gibson Co., IN., son of James Andrew Smith, Sr. and Margaret Truax, md. Betsy McCrary 1835, children James & Mary.
Probable confusion with other James Smiths in area, would like to sort this out.
