Could use advice on Search for Death Rec

Without knowing any details, I would suggest places of worship, Historical societies in the area where they died and maybe other nearby cemeteries. A family bible may have an entry with a date, in which case you could send away for a death cert. They will usually conduct searches if you have a date or an approx. date. Some states will search years out if you pay the extra money. Death certs. usually include the cemetery name.
In my case, I couldn`t find one half of an entire family. I took a long shot and called the hist. soc. for the area. I told them I could only find half of the family in the family plot. The key was ethnic backround and religion. The ancestors who had died earlier, were buried in the original family plot in an old part of town, where many Irish ,Catholics were buried. Historical Societies are loaded with suggestions and information.
Good luck, Kathleen
