Also need help! Looking for Grandfather

Hello, Joan.
Welcome to the grand chase. First tip - "Help" is basically useless in a heading. People will help you if they can. You have to help them by putting specifics in the heading; for instance:
Jonathan Gesunstheit, b. 1936 in Pocatello.
So, if I knew anything about Jonathan, the heading would grab my attention.
Second tip - mention the location, if you can. Even the country would help. GenForum gets people from the USA, Canada, England, Australia and the rest of the world.
Third tip - if your grandparents were in the USA, and died after 1960 or so, there is a good chance you can find them on the SSDI,

The Social Security Administration will send you a copy of a person's Social Security Number application for $27 if you know the SSN, $29 if you do not. (Ouch!) The SSN application should have the person's birth date, birth place, father's name, mother's name (maiden surname) and the person's address at the time of the application. The cost is $29 if you don't know the SSN. In that case you should send them all you know about the person - birth place and date, death date and place. If the person you need isn’t on the SSDI but you want to save typing, you can go to the SSDI, pick a person who isn’t the one you want, click on the link labeled "SS-5". It will format a letter for you. Copy the whole thing into your word processor, change the name, dates and SSN (or wipe the SSN out if you don’t know it). That will save you three paragraphs of typing.
Beyond that, the standard places to look are for death certificates, obituaries, cemetery records and funderal home records. If you know where they were married, marriage licenses. If you have your parent's birth certificates, they might say that your grandfather was aged xx years and a native of yyyy at the time of your father's birth; that would give you a clue as to where to look for Grandpa's birth certificate.
