Obtaining U.S. Census Records
Hello everyone!
I am trying to obtain the 1920 and 1930 census for the city of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County. I know the address of the home in which my family lived in 1924. I know that they lived in that house for a long time.
My understanding is that the house numbers have changed since then and that part of the street may have been vacated due to construction of a freeway.
I know that the census is available on microfilm, but how would I go about retrieving the information? I read somewhere that you need the district and ward number of the area. How would I find that information?
I would appreciate any information/tips that you can give!
Thank you,
Casey
