Pat,

Familysearch.org (Mormon site)has a pilot program where you can check for death certificates and can print a digital image of the original certificate. This is a free service, but you do have to register, which is also free.

I checked Grant in Arkansas (no county entered) and there are 80 pages of Grants in Arkansas. I only looked at the first page.

Go to familysearch.org.
Click on the blue section at the top - Search Records
Click on Search Records Pilot

That will get you to the page to request records. I entered only the last name, death/burial records, and Arkansas. You might want to enter a death date, but I couldn't remember it so I didn't enter one.

Not all counties in all states are available, so you may not find it, but it's worth a shot.
