I forgot-

the deceased Mary Cowan died in 1858 and all of these records were recorded in 1859. She can only be found by name on one census record and is living with David Cowan (about half her age and fits the age frame for the known David). I asssume he was her son since she is listed as the head-of-household. There is also a teenaged girl that could belong to either of them, but I assume she belongs to David who was maybe a widower.
