I live in Australia and have been successfully tracing my English ancestry long-distance for a number of years. I have written an article condensing what I have learned during this time, as a help to beginners in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the former British colonies in Africa (or anywhere else in the world) who want to start tracing their English ancestors but are daunted by the distance.
