Some have referred to a DAVID DAVIDSON of WEAKLEY CO. TN and I wanted to see if he is same one as the one on the deed too. David Davidson of Weakley Co. TN supposedly had a Carroll or Weakley Co. TN Court record also of having signed over the slaves he was left by his father WILLIAM DAVIDSON of GUILFORD CO. NC to JAMES HARRELL of CARROLL CO. TN. James Harrell was a county or city commissioner and is on a lot of court records. But in Anson Co. NC living next to a DANIEL DAVIDSON in the 1790 Anson Co. NC census is a JAMES HARRELL, whom I feel must be a generation earlier than the JAMES HARRELL in Carroll Co. TN. So far, I can't clerify this David Davidson well enough to know if these are all the same DAVID DAVIDSON of NC to Carroll or Weakley or Gibson Co. TN or not.
