Barbara Clark has published a good summary of this family, copies of which are in the Gordon Browning Genealogical Library in McKenzie. The data she published suggested the family came directly from North Carolina--the notion they had stopped first in Alabama/Mississippi is new to me. Since I have not done any original research on this family, I do not wish to post Miss Clark's work here. L. F. Wright
